Reprinted publications of Douglas Crawford McMurtrie's research on the history of printing in the United States--covering the first printers in numerous states as well as some history of the first printing in Europe, Asia, Latin America, the Caribbean and elsewhere in the world. In addition, there are publications on typefaces, bibliographies, typographical style, and celebrations of printing.

About 5255 stereographs arranged by topic, stereograph sets and more than 15 viewers. The stereographs feature locations in the U.S. and worldwide; events, including diasters and exhibitions; industry; science and nature; and culture and art. The collection also includes boxed sets highlighting world tours, education, and for optometry diagnosis.

Training manuals and lectures, military administrative forms, transportation documents, propaganda, pamphlets, and more. This collection contains information pertaining to the training of American soldiers, battle plans and reports, activities of Americans fighting in Europe and organizing on behalf of the war effort in the United States, and the world disarmament movement of the interwar period.
